ANI IN THE CLASSROOM
We are thrilled to announce that we are bringing Ani DiFranco into the classroom with our ONHEROWN Educational Guide designed to be used in high schools and universities! The guide is accompanied by a new special 50 minute educational version of our documentary 1-800-ON-HER-OWN and connects her life and work to broader themes in feminist and political history — DIY independence, the personal as political and women within the music industry. Teachers can incorporate the film into political science, feminist studies, or music courses using the guide's pre-viewing, viewing, and post-viewing sections and five song-analysis modules, all mapped to specific course contexts so material can be adapted to a single class or a longer unit.
Check out the guide sample pages below [FULL GUIDE IS 20 PAGES] and contact us to license the film for educational screenings.
Educational license is $250 and includes 20 page guide plus NEW 50 minute film version.
*Let us know when you email us if your budget is tight and we’ll discuss our sliding scale.
